COUNSELLING DETAILS
The
first phase of counselling for admission to Diploma in Nautical
Science course in Indian Maritime University for February 2010 batch
will be held on 21st January 2010 and 22nd
January 2010.
The
counseling will be from 9.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. and 02.00 p.m. to
4.00 p.m. 50 candidates will be called for one hour as per details
given below:

Candidates are advised
to fill all the entries in Form B (Proforma)
in duplicate and attend counseling with one set of copies of
certificates along with original certificates of date of birth,
qualification, community (caste) for verification, demand draft
for Rs.10,000/- (non
refundable) in favour of Indian Maritime University (name and roll
number of the candidate to be written on the back of the demand
draft), medical fitness certificate from
DG approved panel of
doctors.
Raagas Dental and General Hospital, Kanathur (near Indian Maritime
University) is IMU recognized hospital.
Medical Fitness Certificate can be obtained from Raagas Hospital
also.
Admission
will be subject to clearance in the Eye Test from the respective
MMDs, on the strength of letter from the Colleges/ Institutes, in
which you would be joining.
Candidates
are advised to report to the Indian Maritime University only on the
allotted date and time.
The Indian
Maritime University is located at a place called
Uthandi in Chennai. This place is 5 kms.
ahead of Golden Beach (a picnic resort) on East Coast Road on the
way leading to Mahabalipuram. IMU is just before the Toll Plaza on
the ECR.
There is no
accommodation facility available within and near the IMU campus.
Candidates are requested to make accommodation arrangements in the
city of Chennai.
